THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WIND

I thought this had been removed from the net as Peter Bogdanovich attempts to complete Orson Welles’ unfinished masterpiece “The Other Side of the Wind”, but I found it..! 

This is the final 11 mins of the documentary “The Lost Films of Orson Welles”. See him doing great magic, plus Ahab in excerpts from Moby Dick, and check the links for the first 5 segments, it’s definitely worth seeing from the start.

About 5:18min, see footage from his lost film The Other Side of the Wind, a rough-cut “road movie” scene featuring Welles’ partner Oja Kodar. 

I love this stuff, I want to go back in time and see this film being shot and then disappear into it and ride the two lane blacktop with the Baroness, Orson and Oja, and the Jack Kerouac and Jim Morrison lookalikes. The whole doco is great, but these final ten minutes capture the man and what drove him.
